Workforce Training
In 2024, MRAEF successfully launched fully grant-funded training package opportunities. Our first ever ESOL course completed in August 2024, which included participants from nine restaurant concepts, seven home countries, and three native languages! 100% of students said upon conclusion that they would recommend the class to their associates, and we hope to obtain funding for future repeat classes.
The grant also funded (3) levels of training packages- for hourly, culinary and management tracks. Over a 2 year period, this grant resulted in 166 enrollments! Over 65% completed, and 90 member restaurant staff obtained industry-recognized credentials. In addition, 75 individuals received either a wage increase, or were able to obtain employment in the industry!
We look forward to working with our Workforce Committee and hearing from our member base on what training is beneficial to our members in the future!
